Abstract
This paper is focused on the buckling and post buckling behaviour of rectangular corrugated board panels simply supported and subjected to compression load. The aim of the work is to understand the failure mechanism of investigated structure in order to quantify the effect of design parameters on the strength of a panel of given geometry. Two numerical models were developed adopting the finite element method. In the first one the corrugated board is represented by means of shell elements adopting an equivalent material, in the second the local structure is described in full detail modelling both straight and corrugated layers by means of shell elements and representing the connection between layers by special interface elements. The model correctness was checked by the comparison between out of plane central displacement predicted by the models and the experimental values found in literature. For the same case the effect of panel planarity error was evaluated. Finally a parametric analysis to investigate the effect of design parameters was carried out.

Abstract
The present paper provides test data to evaluate the seismic performance of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) filled steel square hollow section (SHS) beam-columns. Fifteen specimens, including 12 RAC filled steel tubular (RACFST) columns and 3 reference conventional concrete filled steel tubular (CFST) columns, were tested under reversed cyclic flexural loading while subjected to constant axially compressive load. The test parameters include: (1) axial load level (n), from 0.05 to 0.47; and (2) recycled coarse aggregate replacement ratio (r), from 0 to 50%. It was found that, generally, the seismic performance of RACFST columns was similar to that of the reference conventional CFST columns, and RACFST columns exhibited high levels of bearing capacity and ductility. Comparisons are made with predicted RACFST beam-column bearing capacities and flexural stiffness using current design codes. A theoretical model for conventional CFST beam-columns is employed in this paper for square RACFST beam-columns. The predicted load versus deformation hysteretic curves are found to exhibit satisfactory agreement with test results.

Abstract
Composite joints, considering the composite action of steel and concrete, exhibit, in general, high strength and high ductility. As a consequence, the use of this type of joint has been increasing in many countries, especially in those that are located in earthquake-prone regions. In this paper, a hysteretic model with pinching is presented that is able to reproduce the cyclic response of steel and composite joints. Secondly, the computer implementation and adaptation of the model in a spring element within the computer code Seismosoft is described. The model is subsequently calibrated using a series of experimental test results for composite joints subjected to cyclic loading. Finally, typical parameters for the various joint configurations are proposed.

Abstract
In this study, a simple approach for bending analysis of Reissner-Mindlin plates is presented using the four-node quadrilateral domain transformation based on discrete singular convolution. In the proposed approach, irregular physical domain is transformed into a rectangular domain by using the geometric coordinate transformation. The DSC procedures are then applied to discrete the governing equations and boundary conditions. The accuracy of the proposed method is verified by comparison with known solutions obtained by other numerical or analytical methods. Results for Reissner-Mindlin plates show a satisfactory agreement with the analytical and numerical solutions.

Abstract
This paper reports the results of an experimental investigation of the polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) influence on the steel reinforcement corrosion and compressive strength of concretes in sulphate medium. The effect of admixture of PVP in concrete on the corrosion resistance of steel reinforced concrete was assessed by measuring electrochemical test during 60 days immersion in two different external solutions. AC impedance spectrum indicated that the resistance of PVP mixed electrodes were higher than those without PVP. The compressive strength of concrete specimens containing PVP was measured and an increase of 19%~24% was observed.
